# Kun

> A local desktop workbench for multi-provider AI agents. Code is for projects, coding, and Design tasks. Work is for writing, organizing, and delivering documents.

## Product facts

- Kun has desktop GUI and terminal TUI clients that share a local runtime, sessions, model connections, approvals, usage, and background work.
- The GUI has two main workspaces: Code and Work. Design is a task type created inside Code, not a third workspace.
- Code provides project context, files, terminal, browser preview, diffs, plans, requirements, review, agents, and subagents.
- Work provides a Markdown document workspace with editing, preview, selection-aware assistance, save state, and export.
- Sidebar tools include Schedule, Loop, Connect phone, plugins, MCP, Skills, Extensions, media generation, and settings.
- Provider connections can use supported subscriptions, SDKs, API keys, compatible endpoints, or self-hosted services. Authentication, quotas, pricing, and capabilities follow the provider’s terms.
- Keys, sessions, workspaces, phone connections, and logs are managed with a local-first default. Permissions and approvals still govern files, commands, network access, and external tools.
- Installers are available for macOS, Windows, and Linux when present in the current release manifest.

## Documentation

The `/docs` guide is for end users and covers the stable product plus every Settings category. It is available in Simplified Chinese and English, with English fallbacks for Russian, Thai, Japanese, Korean, and Hindi. Release-gated features are documented as conditional.
